1. The Sanctuary of Truth

The Sanctuary of Truth is one of Pattaya’s most impressive landmarks. This enormous wooden structure is filled with intricate hand-carved details inspired by Thai, Buddhist, and Hindu philosophy. Located directly by the sea in Naklua, it is both an architectural attraction and a unique place to learn more about traditional craftsmanship and culture.

Visitor Information

Location: Soi Naklua 12, Naklua, Pattaya
Opening hours: Open daily. Day tours run from 8:20 AM to 6:00 PM; night tours from 6:20 PM to 8:30 PM.
Admission: Adults 500 THB for the day tour and 700 THB for the night tour. Children 110–140 cm: 250 THB daytime / 350 THB nighttime. Children under 110 cm enter free.
Tip: Allow around 2–4 hours for your visit, especially if you join one of the guided tours.

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is one of the most popular attractions near Pattaya and is much more than just a botanical garden. The enormous grounds feature beautifully landscaped themed gardens, impressive tropical plants, cultural displays, dinosaur areas, and several other attractions. There is so much to explore that you can easily spend several hours here.

Visitor Information

Location: Na Jomtien, approximately 20 km south of Central Pattaya.
Admission: Standard admission starts at around 400 THB. Additional ticket packages are available that include extra attractions and activities.
Recommended visit: Allow around 3–4 hours to explore the gardens and main attractions. A half-day visit is ideal if you want to take your time.

Big Buddha Hill (Wat Phra Yai)

Big Buddha Hill, also known as Wat Phra Yai, is one of Pattaya’s most recognizable landmarks. At the top of the hill stands an impressive 18-meter-high golden Buddha, reached by a staircase decorated with golden naga serpents. The temple complex offers a peaceful contrast to the busy city and is also a great place to enjoy views over Pattaya and the surrounding area.

Recommended visit: Around 30–60 minutes
Tip: Dress respectfully when visiting the temple. Shoulders and knees should preferably be covered.
Tip: Combine your visit with the nearby Pattaya Viewpoint. The two attractions are close to each other and are easy to visit on the same trip.

Pattaya Viewpoint (Khao Phra Tamnak).

Pattaya Viewpoint on Khao Phra Tamnak offers one of the best panoramic views of Pattaya. From here, you can see the famous curve of Pattaya Bay, the city skyline, and the coastline stretching into the distance. It is a popular spot for photos and especially beautiful in the late afternoon and around sunset.
